DVR's & VCR's
A VCR (we all know what they are) can be used to record what the camera see's. A DVR (digital video recorder), is what pretty much has replaced the VCR when recording. The DVR works like a Tivo which records on a hard drive instead of a tape. The nice thing about a DVR when recording your cameras, is that it records only when something moves. That way when you want to view what happen at, say between noon and 4 o'clock, you don't have to watch 4 hours of tape, it just goes to where the action is, and view it. You can get a system that uses 4, 6, 8, 9, 16 and 32 cameras at the same time.
